Summer temperatures average 27.4° C, though it does get considerably warmer.  Kelowna winter temperatures are mild, averaging 0° C, with a mix of rain and snow.  Kelowna receives over 2,000 hours of sunlight and 14 inches of precipitation annually.

Recreation

Kelowna and the entire Okanagan Valley is surrounded by parkland, beautiful lakes and beaches, mountains, world class golf courses, and a variety of other recreational activities. In the winter months spend your time downhill skiing and snowboarding at Kelowna’s Big White, and and Vernon’s Silver Star Mountain. Or spend your days cross country skiing, skating, or snowmobiling. The rest of the year you can golf, hike, bike, mountain climb, boat, fish, swim, and enjoy the sunshine.
