Rutland is varied and comprised of flat land in the north part of the city. There are several older and newer areas in Rutland and continues to grow rapidly.  In addition to the housing areas, there are several large hobby orchards in Rutland.

Rutland is the area south of Highway 33, North of Mission Creek, west of Springfield Road and Hollywood Road South, and south of Old Vernon Road.

Rutland is 30 minutes to Big White, 10 minutes to Kelowna International Airport, and 15 minutes to Downtown Kelowna.
